Airbags are a central element in all modern passenger restraint systems in motor vehicles. The airbags module contains an inflator, an igniter, and the folded air bag. Knitted wire mesh is a filter part of inflator, it is specially design for trapping particles from entering or damaging an airbag and to cool the expanding gas following actuation.


These knitted wire mesh are produced from large diameter stainless steel wire, uniformly compressed knitted wire mesh elements, suitable for use in Driver's airbag, passenger airbag, side airbag, head airbag, knee airbag, seat cushion airbag, rear airbag ,motorbike airbag etc.


The knitted mesh and assembly components ensure functional reliability under different conditions and compensate for thermal expansions in the airbag. Density can be varied according to filtration efficiency degree and elements are often highly compressed. They offer flow diversion, heat dissipation and filtration in lots of different conditions.

How pyrotechnic airbag inflators works?


Pyrotechnic airbag inflators contain a core of solid gas generant. During a crash, the generant is ignited and produces a harmless nitrogen-based gas in the combustion process. This gas is then forced through the filters in the inflator then cool the gas and remove particulates. As the gas exits the inflator and enters the airbag pads, timely deployment of it to provide life saving protection for drivers and passengers.
